Happy Halloween -- featuring Basic Grey and Spellbinders :)

Hi everyone :)

Today on Frosted Designs blog, we are celebrating Halloween! :)

I had these paper mache pumpkins that I bought last year at Michael's and wanted to dress them up ...

I painted them, and while they were still wet, I formed a vintage dress pattern around the pumpkins ... once that was dry, I used a Studio Calico mist and sprayed the pumpkin and then spread it out with a paper towel :)

I also took some Basic Paper "Persimmon" collection and a leaf shaped Spellbinders die and made a lot of leaves :)  Then I inked them and adhered them to the pumpkin :)

Add in some Basic Grey "Persimmon" collection stickers and here they are ....

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

Bedtime Story -- featuring Graphic 45 :)

Hi everyone :)

A friend of mine asked me to make a keepsake for her Sister -- using all the info from the Sister's baby shower :)

I used Graphic 45's "Mother Goose" collection :)

((( I blocked out their address for obvious reasons -- *wink* )))

How AWESOME is this poem her Sister included on their baby shower invites?!?!?  As soon as I read it -- I just HAD to use the "Mother Goose" collection :)

And while I had this collection out -- I made a card for a friend that just had a baby boy :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)

Dr. Handsome -- featuring Chic Tags :)

Hi everyone :)

I wanted to share a layout I made using the "Cloud 9" collection from Chic Tags -- I made this using the latest sketch on Let's Capture Our Memories :)

When Brookie could just talk -- she called her surgeon, Dr. Hansen -- "Dr. Handsome" ... so cute!!!! :)

And here is their sketch

This is between me & you -- featuring Pink Paislee :)

Hi everyone :)

Our latest challenge is live on Frosted Designs and this time we want to see some mixed media this time :)

I started off with a sheet from the Pink Paislee Switchboard collection

Did a grid design with some washi tape --

Sprayed it with some mists --

Took the washi tape off once dry --

And here is my layout :)

I also wanted to share a couple of photos :)

These past couple of weekends have been busy :)

On October 18th, we headed to a local park for Brookie's surgeon's annual "Laser Kids Picnic"  -- for those that don't know, Brookie was born with Port Wine Stains on about 35% of her body -- and she has had 17 laser surgeries to help remove them ... Her surgeon, Dr. Hansen, has had an annual picnic at a local park for his "Laser Kids" for the past several years ... This year we found out that he is retiring in January -- so sad!!! We love this man, and cannot be more grateful for him helping Brookie :)

Here is Brookie with Dr. Hansen -- (when she was younger, she called him, "Dr. Handsome"! LOL!!)

She got to play some football with Daddy :)

Got a ghost painted on her arm :)

We got to ride the train around the park :)

And this past weekend -- we went to the pumpkin patch at a local farm to get our Halloween pumpkins :)

Brookie got to ride a horse :)

We took some goofy photos!! :)

Practiced lassoing :)

Shot some water guns :)

Petted some farm animals :)

Saw a pot-bellied pig cooling off :)

Raced some rubber ducks :)

Sacked a potato race :)

Took a train out to the pumpkins :)

Picked out said pumpkins and got a little photo bombed :)

Breaked for a Slushie treat :)

And dug for some gold :)

On the way home -- we stopped for some lunch .... and then Brookie danced like no one was watching :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! :)
